Fishing Charter Terms and Conditions
Welcome to Tidal Charters. Before booking your fishing adventure with us, we kindly ask that you review the following terms and conditions. By booking a charter with us, you acknowledge and agree to abide by these terms:
Payment:
Prices are in Canadian Dollars. US Funds may be accepted at an exchange rate that covers our cost of converting currency. Prices do not include fishing licenses, alcohol, gratuity, or taxes. To secure your reservation, we require a deposit of 25% at the time of booking. The remaining balance can be paid Upon Arrival on the day of your charter.
Cancellation Policy:
We understand that circumstances may change. If you need to cancel or reschedule your charter, please notify us at least 30 days prior to your charter, your deposit can be moved to any other available date for the current or any following season, and are fully transferable to other guests.
Cancellations made within this period may result in a forfeiture of your deposit, unless we can rebook your trip.
Weather Conditions:
Fortunately, we have access to a wide variety of sheltered fishing spots, and in the past 7 years haven’t been required to cancel any charters due to weather. However, if your captain determines there are adverse weather conditions or other circumstances that may affect the safety of your charter, we reserve the right to reschedule your trip or provide a full refund of your deposit. There will be no refunds for partial trips, and unfortunately we are unable to refund self-incurred travel expenses.
Participant Responsibilities:
Fishing Licenses: It is the responsibility of each participant to possess and bring a Valid Pacific Tidal Fishing License, and Salmon Stamp. Participants shall also act in a safe and responsible manner when on board.
Age Requirements:
For safety reasons, all participants, including children, must meet the minimum age of 6 years old. Please advise if there are any children at the time of booking, so appropriate PFD’s and other accommodations can be made.
What if we don’t catch any fish?:
In our entire time operating, we’ve never been “skunked.” We guarantee you won’t be either. If you haven’t caught your fish after 8 hours, your captain will stay out as long as it takes. However, if any guests do not get the opportunity to catch a fish during their charter, they will get the opportunity to rebook for free. This excludes any guests that do not wish to reel in fish, or request to head in early. This ONLY APPLIES TO Multi-Day Packages. Day Charters are excluded unless nobody on the boat had an opportunity to catch fish. This also EXCLUDES Albacore Tuna and Sablefish Charters.
Fish Processing
Due to Federal regulations, we are not allowed to process your fish(excluding River’s Inlet Packages), but and will instead make arrangements with the fish processing plant Hardy Buoys to Custom Process your fish. They are able to Fillet, Portion, Flash Freeze, and even Smoke your fish for you. At the end of your trip, they can divide your catch evenly amongst the whole group, as well as prepare it for either road or airline travel. For more information, you can visit the Hardy Buoys Website found here.
Health and Safety:
We prioritize the safety of all participants. If you have any health concerns, medical conditions, or physical limitations that may affect your ability to participate safely, please inform us in advance
Alcohol and Drugs:
The excessive consumption of alcohol or the use of illegal substances is strictly prohibited during your charter. Our crew reserves the right to terminate the trip if any participant's behaviour is deemed unsafe or disruptive due to the influence of alcohol or drugs.
